Short description
Arbit works in UTF-8 encoding and stores issues and wiki entries this way, allowing for the use of international characters. Notification mails sent by the system are encoded in US-ASCII, though, rendering international characters unreadable within the mails unless you manually switch the encoding in your mail client.
Environment
PHP 5.3.0, Ubuntu 9.04, CouchDB 0.9.1
Steps to reproduce
-
enable email notifications for new or modified issues
-
create or modify an issue
-
check your mail
Expected behavior
Mail is sent in UTF-8 encoding.
Actual behavior
Mail is sent in US-ASCII encoding:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
